Why should I hire a Lawyer?

When searching for a lawyer, you may wonder if you even “need” an attorney. It is important to ask yourself...For something this important, is it advisable to try to go it alone? Virgen & Virgen Attorneys at Law of San Antonio, Texas know the pros and cons of hiring an attorney.


Pros:

  • You will have someone representing your best interests.

  • An attorney will know the relevant laws, rules, and procedures for your legal matter.

  • Your attorney will handle all matters that he/she has been hired to do.

  • Your case will more likely move much more quickly than without legal representation.

  • With an attorney representing you, you will be able to more freely concentrate on your everyday life.


Cons:

  • Cost: As with any profession or service, my attorney will have to be paid, however, I know that Virgen & Virgen will be fair and reasonable with me regarding attorney’s fees.

What do I do if I have a legal question on a different matter than any pending case?

A phone call to our office will direct you to the person who can best answer your question. Remember, no questions as to your rights, duties or obligations should go unanswered because you did not know which lawyer to call. If Virgen & Virgen are unable to answer your question or assist you in the matter, we have a great network of Attorney colleagues whom we can turn to, but we encourage you to let us be your first point of contact pertaining to all your legal matters.

What can you expect of us?

We will handle your case on a one-to-one basis, that is, you will have direct contact with the attorneys
and will not have to be concerned with your case being lost in the shuffle of a large firm with many
paralegals and constantly changing personnel.

What about special office hours?

While we encourage our clients to make appointments to visit our office, we do welcome walk-in clients and will coordinate to set appointments for you if necessary. In order to effective and efficiently assist you, we request that you schedule an appointment during our regular office hours (Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however, afterhour appointments may be available on a case-by-case situation.

How will I be kept informed of my case?

We understand the importance of communication and transparency between attorney and client. We strive to notify our clients of how and when they will be updated on their case. We will provide a timeline of expectations. Often legal matters can run from several weeks, to months and even years. Our office will update you as your case moves along and that information usually comes in the form a phone call or email however, you are also welcome to check in for a status or update. In order to keep the cost of legal services down while maximizing communications, we will strive to keep you informed on important matters and work to respond to your questions in a reasonable time.
